Our Plan of Action

In These Critical Times, We’re Here for You

In These Critical Times, We’re Here for You

Has there ever been a time when reliable network connectivity has been so crucial, in so many ways, in so many places, as it is now? Just ask anyone who's getting their work done through video calls from home, or whose college coursework has moved online, or who depends on virtual doctor visits to stay healthy. Think of all the interactions that have gone digital in a matter of weeks -- in ways that will influence how we use technology long after this pandemic has passed.

That's why we're delighted to see so many of our customers around the world pushing ahead with network investments during this critical time -- planning and building to meet the bandwidth demands of today and tomorrow. You haven't hit "pause," and neither have we. From the manufacturing floor to our front-line customer teams, we're drawing on our global capabilities to support your growth.

In my last letter, I outlined the ways in which Corning builds its manufacturing capabilities to ensure highly reliable supply, even during disruptive times. Throughout this crisis, we have been leveraging those capabilities: our regionally located manufacturing facilities, our diverse global supply chain, our strong inventory positions at distributors, and our active forecasting of customer demands for capacity and material planning. We're also continually updating our contingency plans to ensure we're prepared for changes that affect transportation routes -- with a constant focus on remaining a reliable source of supply.

I thank you for staying closely connected with us during this crisis and ask that you continue to do so. Should you have any questions or specific concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your Corning representative using your usual contact information.

More than ever, the world is depending on network connectivity. As we navigate these extraordinary times together, we look forward to continuing to work with you to support your needs.

Sincerely,

Kim Hartwell

Delivering on Our Commitments

Delivering on Our Commitments

We understand how important it is to maintain digital and virtual connections as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic together.

Most of Corning’s manufacturing facilities in locations impacted by government directives have been deemed essential, critical, or life sustaining because they manufacture products that are necessary to support essential infrastructure, industries, or the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

We are working at every level to execute business continuity plans to ensure that our operations are being maintained effectively and safely to meet our customers’ needs, minimize disruption and deliver on what we promise. We are consistently monitoring our raw material inventory levels and keeping a pulse on demand.

The situation remains fluid, and we will remain closely engaged with customers and suppliers to effectively manage supply conditions together. We are committed to regularly updating our customers as more information becomes available.

Please leverage our authorized distributors as force multipliers in the field. Our dedicated distributors enable our product availability and ease of doing business from the largest city to the smallest suburb. This network is key to ensuring your day-to-day business continues uninterrupted.
