Forbes, known for its lists and rankings, partnered with a market research company to survey 80,000 United States employees to determine the best employers in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. When Forbes announced the results at the end of August, Corning made the top-20 cut in not one, but two states.
Of the 100 ranked businesses in the New York list, Corning ranked seventeenth. In North Carolina, which also ranked 100 businesses, Corning took the thirteenth spot.
Rob France, senior vice president, Human Resources, noted that a dedication to people and respect for the Individual are crucial to Corning's mission and the Forbes rankings help reflect that ongoing commitment.
"At Corning, we are proud of the life-changing innovations we bring to the world," Rob said. "Committed employees are an essential part of making this happen. Our Values are at the core of our employee experience, and our employees embrace our culture as a result."
Survey participants rated their employers on factors such as safety of work environment, opportunities for advancement, competitiveness of compensation, and more.
