FAQ: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor authentication (MFA)

What is MFA?

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to your account or application. This is being implemented for your privacy and Corning's security.

What are my MFA Options?

You have two options to choose from for MFA. You can receive a SMS text message or use Google Authenticator. Google Authenticator app or the text will send you a single use code to prove that it is actually you logging into your account.

I never received my code, What do I do?

Ensure you have your mobile app installed, or notifications from text messages. If these do not get your code, you can contact us at Hybrisacc@corning.com

How often will I need to re-authenticate?

The system will ask for a code every 30 days. However, if you clear your browser cache (history), use a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.), or login from a different device you will be required to authenticate with a new code through your selected option. The timer is based per browser/device combination.
