Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) today announced an expansion of its manufacturing capacity in Stryków, Poland, to meet accelerating customer demand for fiber optic products for AI data centers and micro-optics markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Slated to open in the second half of 2026, the new optical connectivity facility is expected to create approximately 2,500 high‑quality jobs in Poland, contributing positively to the local economy and reinforcing Corning’s long‑term commitment to the region.
“With this expansion, we’ll help our customers meet the scale and density requirements of Generative AI while accelerating and simplifying their deployments,” said Claude Echahamian, Vice President and General Manager, Emerging Businesses & EMEA, Corning Optical Communications. “For 25 years, Corning has been operating in Poland, which remains a critical manufacturing and development hub. Our success here stems from our relationships with the region’s technical schools, a robust transportation network, strong support from our governmental partners, and our highly skilled and dedicated workforce.”
