Robust Activity, High Quality, First Choice by Researchers
The Corning® Gentest™ Supersomes™ recombinant drug metabolizing enzymes product line includes more than 40 different human and animal cytochrome P450 isoforms, UDP-glucuronsyl transferases (UGTs), Flavin-Containing Monooxygenases (FMOs), monoamine oxidases (MAOs), human aldehyde oxidase (AOs), soluble N-Acetyltransferases (NATs), and carboxylesterases (CESs).
These metabolic enzyme products are manufactured using baculovirus-transfected insect cells and exhibit very high levels of catalytic activities. Side-by-side comparisons of the catalytic activity with pooled human liver microsomes (HLMs) are available for many enzymes.
New to the product offering is Corning Supersomes Ultra Aldehyde Oxidase, a recombinant human AO enzyme which utilizes a mammalian cell-based expression system. This recent addition is meant to address issues associated with other approaches that may present different protein post-translation modifications which may lead to different function as compared to mammalian cells. This product will enable early assessment of the liability of AO for drug metabolism and clearance.
