Corning Life Sciences presents the latest in 3D cell culture technology and reinforces strong commitment to innovation at SLAS2023
Corning, NY | Spectrum Science | February 24, 2023

CORNING, NY — Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) will highlight its latest technologies in automation and 3D cell culture at this year's Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) conference in San Diego, California, Saturday, Feb. 25- Wednesday, Mar. 1.

Corning Life Sciences will showcase a suite of 3D culture tools, including the new Elplasia® 12K flask and a soon-to-be-released Elplasia plate with an open-well format to enable ease of spheroid and organoid manipulations. True to the core of SLAS, the company will also demonstrate its benchtop automation technology, including the Corning Matribot® Bioprinter, Corning Lambda™ EliteMax Semi-automated Benchtop Pipettor, and Corning® Cell Counter, all of which enable a more automated workflow in a small footprint.

John Tobin, Vice President & General Manager of Corning Life Sciences, will be onsite to discuss how the industry is driving innovation and how Corning is vital to the industry’s progress.

“We’re determined to enable faster, more efficient workflows in drug discovery because we are intensely aware of the potential impact,” Tobin says. “By working with our customers to overcome workflow hurdles in critical areas of study, we can help accelerate the timeline of new treatment options and inspire hope across patient populations.”

To commence this year’s event, Corning is sponsoring the welcome reception on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. PST, where all attendees–from students to C-suite executives–are invited to network with experts and to explore the exhibit hall. To celebrate Corning Life Sciences’ commitment to innovation and the planet, the company will be donating to One Tree Planted, an environmental non-profit focused on reforestation, to plant a tree for each attendee that visits Booth #1610 during the conference.

“Organizations across the life sciences industry are making climate initiatives a top priority,” says Tobin. “Importantly, we agree. And we’re challenging ourselves to find new ways to decrease our carbon footprint across the company. We hope to inspire our customers to do the same.”

Corning’s drug discovery portfolio and automation solutions show only a glimpse of the innovation to come in the year ahead. Join Corning experts and several customers sharing their technical presentations throughout the event (register here), including:
