Corning Named Top Supporter of HBCUs for 21st Consecutive Year

Corning has been named a 2023 Top Supporter of Historically Black College and University engineering schools for the 21st consecutive year. The annual designation, released by US Black Engineer (USBE) magazine, recognizes corporations and government supporters of accredited HBCU engineering schools.

“We see our partnerships as a win-win for the HBCUs and Corning. Together, we will continue to help schools attract the best students and help fuel Corning with the diverse talent needed for another 170 years of life-changing innovation,” said Dana Moss, vice president and chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer.

The annual list recognizes companies, organizations, and government agencies that have provided exceptional support to HBCUs through scholarships, internships, and funding for research and development.

“This recognition acknowledges our highly regarded and impactful long-term commitment to HBCU partnerships and to helping increase access to world class STEM education and careers,” said Mark Vaughn, technical talent pipeline manager and lead, Office of STEM. “The Office of STEM is proud to be among the many Corning groups helping to support this commitment.”
