Wall Calendar Raffle Terms & Conditions
Organizer and duration of the raffle. Corning B.V. located Fogostraat 12, 1060LJ Amsterdam, The Netherlands (hereafter the “Organizer”) wishes to organize a raffle as part of its 2026 wall calendar and online campaigns (hereafter the “Raffle”). The Raffle will take place on a monthly basis from January 2026 to December 2026 as detailed hereunder.
Eligibility. The Raffle is open to all individuals of at least 18 years of age, irrespective of their domicile or nationality (hereafter the “Participants) except for all employees of the Organizer including anyone who has been directly or indirectly involved in the creation, development of the Raffle. Participation in the Raffle implies irrevocable and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions (the “Terms”). The Raffle is limited to one entry per person per month (for example, same last name, same first name, and same email address). Participation in the Raffle is strictly personal and non-transferable. Only three prizes will be awarded per month to the designated winners.
Conditions of participation. The Raffle will take place at the time and for the duration detailed under 1. To confirm their participation, Participants will scan, each month, a QR code available on the wall calendar and complete a form. 2. Participants may also access the form through online channels.
The draw. There will be one (1) monthly draw and three (3) winners per month. The Organizer will designate the monthly winners based on innovation, impact, collaboration, and overall contribution to science. The Organizer will assemble a panel of impartial judges with expertise in the life sciences field, who are employed by the Organizer. The Organizer will conduct a blind review to maintain objectivity and will remove any identifiable information from the nominations during the initial assessment to focus solely on the nominee's achievements. A meeting will be set up before the end of each month where judges can discuss their assessments, share insights, and resolve any differences. This collaborative approach ensures a well-rounded evaluation.
Prize Distribution. The Organizer will notify the monthly winners via email by the beginning of the following month. If the winner does not respond, they will forfeit their prize and will not be entitled to any compensation, award, or reimbursement of any kind. In this case, the prizes will be awarded to a substitute selected by the judges. If winners do not abide by these Terms, their prize will not be awarded and will be forfeited to the Organizer. To this end, Participants authorize all checks concerning their identity, contact details, and/or the fairness and sincerity of their participation. Any false statement, false or incorrect indication of identity or postal address will result in the immediate elimination of the Participant and the acquisition of the prize by the Organizer.
Publication. Provided the Participants gave their explicit consent when entering the Raffle, Winners will be celebrated and recognized publicly. The Organizer will contact winners directly to coordinate featuring work in marketing efforts. This may include featuring them in emails, social media, www.corning.com/lifesciences, and/or in an ebook.
The Prize. The monthly winners will receive a Corning customized mug.
Data Privacy. The Organizer processes your personal data, as data controller, to organize and conduct the Raffle based on its legitimate interest. For purposes of publishing customers’ testimonials on Corning Life Sciences website and of marketing communication, the Organizer will process your personal data based on your explicit consent. Data transfers from Corning group companies based in the European Economic Area (EEA) to other Corning group entities worldwide are made in accordance with Corning’s Binding Corporate Rules available at http://www.corning.com/worldwide/en/privacy-policy/binding-corporate-rules.html. As a data subject, you have the right, in accordance with applicable regulations, to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, or to restrict its processing. Liability. The Organizer shall not be held liable if it is impossible to contact each winner, or in the event of loss, theft, or damage to the prize during delivery. The Organizer shall also not be liable for any errors in the name and/or contact details provided by the Participants. The Organizer reserves the right, if circumstances so require, to shorten, extend, modify, interrupt, postpone or cancel the Raffle without incurring any liability. The Organizer shall not be held liable for any malfunction preventing access to and/or the proper running of the Raffle, in particular due to malicious acts by third parties. The Organizer may cancel all or part of the Raffle if it appears that fraud has occurred in any form whatsoever, in connection with participation in the Raffle or the determination of the winners. In this case, it reserves the right not to award the prizes and/or to take legal action against the perpetrators of such fraud before the competent courts.
Jurisdiction and Venue. The Raffle and its Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. In the event of a dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of the Rules, the Organizer and the Participant undertake to seek an amicable solution. If no such solution can be reached within fifteen (15) working days of notification of the dispute by the most diligent party, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
