The UCAO Multiport terminal is part of the Corning solution for Distributed TAP FTTH networks architecture with the advantage of serving up to 16 subscribers per terminal, allowing a reduction of up to 50% in the number of terminals on the link. It is the ideal terminal for lean fiber optic networks in the most populated regions, due to its design with up to 18 Corning OptiTap® preterminated ports, which allows fast and reliable subscriber activations.

18-port: Distribution/Continuity Terminal

The UCAO Multiport Terminal with 18P is equipped with one 1x2 asymmetric/uneven splitter, which feeds the pass-through port that feeds the subsequent terminals, for network continuity. It also has a 1x16 splitter that feeds the 16 subscriber connection ports.

9-port: Last Terminal on the Chain

The UCAO Multiport Terminal with 9P is equipped with one 1x16 splitter for subscriber connection, designed to be used as the last terminal on the chain.
