Adam

Supervisor of Quality Department

My adventure with Corning began on the fifth year of my studies. As an intern in the fiberoptic cable production department, I learned how to operate inside a large production company. I was responsible for preparing reports and calculating production indicators.

From the very beginning, I was included in a large project to improve the management of production tools. I participated in the development and implementation of the rules for issuing tools for individual production lines. After two months, I was asked to take up the position of a junior engineer in the EMEA region. I was responsible for the compliance of the products with EU directives and regulations. One of my responsibilities was to prepare certificates of compliance for clients. I had the opportunity to be on the team implementing an electronic platform for tracking environmental requirements for specific Corning products.

After about a year, I took the position of a junior environmental specialist. I was responsible for all aspects of environmental law for a large production plant and I also maintained the environmental management system.

After two years of work, I was recognized and promoted to the position of environmental specialist. I represented a factory in Stryków at annual corporate conferences and was awarded several times for selected achievements. I also reduced the amount of waste generated at the plant, and ran campaigns to increase environmental awareness among the company's employees.

After two years full of challenges, I obtained the position of a senior environmental specialist. In 2016, I decided to expand my professional skills and successfully recruited for the position of a quality engineer. Working in this position, I got to know the process of manufacturing fiberoptic cable connection very well. I participated in projects implementing new products and actions optimizing the work of production lines.

In 2018, I was offered the position of head of the quality department. My tasks include effective management of a team of quality engineers and implementation of tasks defined in the company's strategy.

Working at Corning gives you great opportunities for professional development and opportunities to gain new experiences. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere that helps build knowledge and achieve goals.
