What we do in Poland

Corning Poland is headquartered in Stryków and manufactures fiberoptic cables. Corning also produces passive elements of the telecommunications network used to manage cabling. These elements manage the signal transmission from the data distribution center to where the data is eventually delivered. These elements also exist in cabinets, drawers, cans, muffs, modules and cables themselves.

Our History in Poland

In 2001, the Corning cable division expanded its global operations by opening a plant in Łódź. Five years later, due to the growing demand for the company’s products, the factory moved to a new, larger building in Stryków near Łódź. The facility has production and service rooms for Corning Optical Communications as well as a research and development center. In mid-2018, because of the ever-growing demand for cables and telecommunications solutions, the company opened a second plant in Stryków. More than 2,700 people are currently employed in both factories and the number of employees is constantly growing.

2018 – We took first place in contest Employer - Organizer of Safe Work.

2018 – Opening of the second Corning telecommunications equipment factory in Stryków.

2017 – Corning Poland passes 2,000 employees.

2016 – Free of charge bus transportation for all production employees.

2014 – Corning wins second place in a Safe Work Organizer in a contest organized by Work Inspection.

2014 – Optical Communications in Poland is awarded the High-Quality Internship Award for our internship program “Possibilities Become Real.”

2013 – Optical Communications in Poland wins the Solid Employer Award

2011 – The optoelectronics laboratory on the Technical University of Łódź, which was co-financed by Corning, is opened.

2011 – Collaboration agreement with the Technical University of Łódź.

2010 – Opening of the testing and qualifications laborator - in this laboratory, products are tested and qualified for customers.

2008 – Corning receives a Gold Medal from Intertelecom and the Ministry of Infrastructure Award for ClearCurve™.

2007 – Opening of the research and development department in Stryków.

2007 – The plant is moved from Łódź to Stryków.

2002 – Start of production in Łódź plant

2001 – Establishing the first Corning plant in Łódź
