Contract Lifecycle Management

Reviewing a Contract from Corning

Corning has moved to a new contract management system. Nothing about our working relationship changes — but the way NDAs reach you does. Instead of an attachment from your Corning contact, you will receive a secure email with a link to review the document online.

The short version

You will receive a secure email from icm.service@icertis.com, not from your Corning contact’s inbox.

It is expected, and it is from us.

Open the link, review the agreement, and return your comments through the same link.

What to do

  1. Open
Select the link in the email from icm.service@icertis.com. It shows the agreement name, your Corning contact, and a Reference ID.
  2. Verify
A “Verify Email” screen opens and asks for a 6-digit code. Keep this window open.
  3. Get your passcode
A second email sends a one-time passcode that matches the Reference ID. It expires in 10 minutes. If the passcode expires, generate a new code on the Verify Email by clicking on Resend Code.
  4. Enter & open
Enter the passcode on the Verify screen. The agreement opens in a secure online viewer.
  5. Review & mark up
No changes? Select Accept. Proposing edits? Upload them, then select Reject to return the document to Corning.Read the agreement online. Download a copy for your own legal team if needed, and use Track Changes for any edits.
  6. Accept or Reject
No changes? Select Accept. Proposing edits? Upload them, then select Reject to return the document to Corning.

Accept or Reject—which do I choose?
If no changes are required, select Accept to agree to the current version and advance it to final approval and signature. If you are proposing revisions, make your changes with Track Changes and select Reject to return it to Corning for the next round of review. Any document that contains revisions should be Rejected, not Accepted — Reject simply sends it back and does not end the process.

Questions you are likely to have

  • “Is this email genuine?”

Yes. It comes from Corning’s contract platform rather than from an individual, which is why it may look unfamiliar. It arrives from icm.service@icertis.com. If you are ever unsure, do not click — contact your Corning representative and confirm.

  • “What can I do if I never received it?”

Check your junk or spam folder first — messages from a new sender frequently land there. If it is genuinely missing, your Corning representative can arrange for it to be resent. Adding icm.service@icertis.com to your safe senders list helps future notifications arrive cleanly.

  • “Why am I asked for a passcode?”

The document is delivered securely rather than as an open attachment. You generate the passcode yourself as part of opening the link — there is no account to create and no software to install.

  • “How long do I have?”

The review link is active for 15 days. If it expires before you have finished, let your Corning representative know and a new link will be issued. Nothing you have already done is lost.

  • “Can I just email my changes back?”

Please return your comments through the link wherever possible. Documents returned by email have to be uploaded manually by our legal team, which slows the review down. Using the link keeps everyone working from the same version.

  • “Who do I talk to?”

Your Corning representative remains your point of contact from start to finish. They are copied on the notification sent to you and can answer questions about the agreement, timing, or the process.

  • "The DocuSign email was sent to me. Can I forward it to someone else?"

Yes. If another person within your organization is the appropriate reviewer or signer, you may forward the DocuSign email to them. If additional assistance is needed, please contact your Corning representative.
