Vice Chairman, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & Administrative Officer
Lewis Steverson is Vice Chairman, Executive Vice President, and Chief Legal & Administrative Officer. Steverson advises the CEO, Board of Directors, and Senior Leadership Team.
He oversees numerous Corning functions including the Law Department, Digital & Information Technology, Human Resources, Government Affairs, Aircraft Operations, Global Health Services, Global Security, Workplace Services, Community Impact & Investment, and the Department of Archives and Records Management.
Additionally, Steverson serves as liaison to Corning’s Board of Directors. He also manages the Corporate Functions Review, the governing body for Corning’s staff groups, and oversees the Senior Leadership Team as well as the Office of the CEO.
Prior to joining Corning in 2013, Steverson spent 18 years with Motorola, where he held a variety of roles including Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to Motorola, Steverson was in private practice at the law firm of Arnold & Porter.
Steverson is a member of the Colorado, Illinois, and New York State bars.
He also serves as a director on the boards of BMC Software, Business Council of New York State, Hemlock Semiconductor Group, LLC, and the Big Shoulders Fund.
Steverson earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Siena College and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
