BPEO CT1 Terminal

The Corning BPEO-CT1 optical terminal box is part of the new generation of Corning optical connectivity solutions produced in Brazil, to meet the specific requirements and practices of field-connectorized networks. It has a mechanism to restrict access to the trays, as well as being easy to handle and quick to install.

Due to its fully mechanical cable entries: one main main cable, two network derivations and 16 compact drop cables, it can also be used simultaneously as a splice and terminal closure, with the use of additional trays, adding capacity for up to 36 splices.

With demarcation of network (loose tube storage) and subscriber areas (drop cable management), Corning BPEO CT1 allows excellent housing of splices and adapters, making client activation much faster reducing network failures. It allows activation of new subscribers without service interruptions, even in the case of a future expansion, the terminal can be configured for eight clients on the first day and then add another splitter and eight adapters to address up to eight new subscribers.

Features Benefits
16 subscribers drop entries + 2 network derivation More subscribers per terminal
Design restricts access to trays and accidental disconnection during activation Reduction of field failures and consequently operational costs (OPEX)
Ideal for field-connectorized networks
Allows customized drop cables lengths
Allows connectorization at ground level for later insertion into the terminal
Cost reduction with a better control of the connectorization quality
Compatible with the ECAM mechanical system Fully mechanical sealing system, no special tools needed
