Health & Safety Manager
I started my internship in the Health and Safety Department at Corning in the beginning of the fifth year of my studies. From the very beginning I was treated as an equal employee; I got my own duties and responsibilities. It was easy to share time between work and studies, because the company adjusted my job to the current lectures at the university. Immediately after the internship, I was hired as a Junior Health and Safety Specialist and was fully responsible for one of the production departments. Working with a team, I always had the opportunity to consult my colleagues about decisions and possible doubts. I then held the positions of Specialist and Senior Safety Officer. As I changed vacancies, my responsibilities expanded. I also had more and more opportunities to cooperate with global Corning factories - I participated in conferences and in the acceptance machines and equipment. For two years I was the head of the health and safety department at the new plant in Stryków, leading a group of specialists in this area. As a result of the experience gained, in connection with organizational changes in the company, since August 2020 I have been holding the position of Health & Safety Manager.
