Mike Genovese joined Corning Cable Systems in 1984 as a project engineer in Hickory, North Carolina. From 1985 to 1987, he was a manager in Engineering Services. From 1990 to 1998, Mike held various commercial leadership roles including market development manager, product manager for single-mode cable, and director of marketing and product line management for the Telecommunications Cable Business. In 2000, he became the senior vice president and general manager, Global Cable Operations, and was appointed senior vice president, Americas Commercial in June 2004.
In January 2011, Mike was appointed senior vice president, Wireless Networks and New Business Development. In this role Mike is responsible for leading the new Corning MobileAccess wireless business.
Mike Genovese earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University. Prior to joining Siecor, Mike served in the United States Navy as a nuclear submarine warfare officer. Additionally, Mike is involved in the Penn State Alumni Association and is currently serving on the Greater Hickory Classic Foundation, Inc. Board.
