CORNING, N.Y. — Nalas Engineering has established a Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) Advanced-Flow™ reactor (AFR) lab at the Nalas facility in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
The lab provides customers with continuous-flow demonstrations, experimental trials, quick feasibility testing (QFT), and chemical reaction process development using Corning AFR technology. Corning and Nalas customers also use it for process development projects.
This is the first lab in the United States to offer AFR testing and process development services. In addition to being in close proximity to North American customers, this lab enables customers to evaluate Corning Advanced-Flow reactors. It also provides high-quality services and easy access to the Nalas facility.

Nalas has extensive chemical engineering expertise in various markets, including pharmaceutical, fine, and specialty chemical industries. They work closely with small and large businesses throughout the U.S. Nalas employs chemical engineers who are skilled at applying the principles of mass and heat transfer which are key parameters for the appropriate utilization of AFR reactors.
Corning’s Low-Flow and G1 reactors are available in the AFR lab at the Nalas facility to implement process development and identify appropriate processes that can easily and seamlessly be transferred to industrial production. Plans are under development to place a G4 production scale reactor at the Nalas facility.
