Corning: Innovators for Life

About this video

This video showcases the company’s relentless passion for innovation through the voices of eight Corning leaders from around the world. “Corning: Innovators for Life” launched this week on YouTube.

In just four minutes, Corning leaders – representing corporate, commercial, and technical points of view – give a sweeping overview of the company’s long history of innovation and the impact Corning products have had on everyday life. They also provide a glimpse of emerging technologies and how the company works with customers to bring new innovations to life.

Featured in the video are:

  • Wendell Weeks, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President
  • Lydia Kenton Walsh, Vice President, Commercial Operations, Life Sciences
  • Dr. Connie Wang, Director, Corning Advanced Technology Center
  • Dr. Waguih Ishak, Division Vice President & Director, Corning West Technology Center
  • Dr. Claudio Mazzali, Vice President, Technology, Optical Communications
  • Dr. Willard Cutler, Technology Director, Environmental Technologies
  • Dr. Jeffrey Evenson, Senior Vice President & Operations Chief of Staff
  • Lori Hamilton, Director, Commercial Technology, High Performance Display

While the “A Day Made of Glass” video series from 2011 and 2012 depicted Corning’s view for glass applications in a futuristic, fictionalized setting, “Corning: Innovators for Life” shows how Corning’s culture drives constant scientific exploration and discovery.

“All of our innovations are made possible by our people collaborating and supporting one another’s passion for materials science,” said Lisa Burns, director, Corporate Marketing & Branding. “We’re eager to share this video and let others learn about this important aspect of our culture.”
