More than two decades after helping launch the LCD glass industry, Corning met new demands of a fast-growing market—and an environmentally conscious public—with the launch of EAGLE XG Glass, the first-ever LCD glass substrate capable of scaling to a large size while also being free of arsenic and all heavy metals. It would dazzle the industry and go on to become the single most successful product in Corning history.

Today, with our proprietary fusion manufacturing platform as the foundation, EAGLE XG can be made as large as Gen 10.5 – the size of two king-size beds, as thin as 0.25mm – thinner than a business card and can enable lifelike resolutions up to 8K.
