Equal parts athlete and acrobat, Pip takes his Freerunning techniques to new heights.

Equal parts athlete and acrobat, Pip takes his Freerunning techniques to new heights.

Landing roles in blockbuster action films and earning a spot on the podiums of numerous Freerunning competitions are no easy feats. It’s ambitious and extremely rigorous. Pip’s success and growing reputation are rooted in his training. Applying principles of Parkour with the acrobatics of Freerunning, Pip deftly uses his city and the surrounding environs as a training ground.

As with any training, there is always a measure of success. Where a bulky smartphone would only hinder his movements and be exposed to extreme damage, Pip tracks his fitness goals and metrics on his wrist. Combining 4G LTE connectivity with tough Gorilla Glass SR+, the Samsung Gear S3 can be put through the paces without missing a step.

It’s a perfect match. Freerunning outdoors for 2-3 hours at a time, both Pip and his Gear S3 must perform with ultimate precision, elegance and durability. And when the going gets tough; when the impact is fierce and immediate; there is added confidence and comfort knowing the Gorilla Glass SR+ display delivers superior resistance to damage and scratches, while maintaining its optical clarity and touch sensitivity. Which is to say, the Samsung Gear S3 is designed to be just as tough as the person wearing it.

The Routines

Tough Technology — The Samsung Gear S3 featuring Corning Gorilla Glass SR+

No guts. No glory. That’s the thinking behind the Samsung Gear S3. Its military-grade durability resists water, dust and extreme temperatures. Adding a whole new dimension of toughness, its 1.3-inch display features Gorilla Glass SR+. In lab tests, this one-of-a-kind glass composite delivered up to 70 percent better damage resistance against impacts and 25 percent better surface reflection compared with alternative cover materials. Plus, Gorilla Glass SR+ demonstrated superior scratch resistance approaching that of alternative luxury cover materials, while maintaining the optical clarity and touch sensitivity required for on-the-go connectivity. For the Samsung Gear S3, no other cover glass would do. For Pip’s rigorous training, with the bumps, the knocks and the scrapes, the Samsung Gear S3 was a natural choice. Built-in GPS, 4G LTE connectivity, running his fitness apps, and wirelessly connecting to his music are integral to the flips, flops and drops of his Freerunner training routines.
