Die Corning CleanAdvantage™ Technologie reduziert Installationszeiten und Reinigungsabfälle.

CORNING, BERLIN, 10. Februar 2020 — Wie Corning Incorporated heute bekannt gab, werden zukünftig alle Steckverbinder der EDGE™- und EDGE8®-Rechenzentrumslösungen nun die CleanAdvantage™ Technologie von Corning nutzen. Dadurch wird die Installationszeit für Rechenzentrumskunden verringert, da die Steckverbinder bei der Erstinstallation vor Ort nicht mehr gereinigt werden müssen. CleanAdvantage™ verwendet eine spezielle Reinigungstechnologie für die gesamte Glasfaser-Ferrule, zusätzlich zu den werkseitig installierten kontaktlosen Staubkappen, und kann so bereits werkseitig gereinigte, installationsfertige Stecker anbieten. Diese Technologie wird ohne zusätzliche Kosten für alle MTP®- und LC-Uniboot-Stecker der strukturierten EDGE- und EDGE8-Verkabelungslösungen implementiert.*

Die Corning® CleanAdvantage™ Technologie macht eine Reinigung und Inspektion von MTP- und LC-Uniboot Steckern vor der Erstinstallation überflüssig. Durch die Implementierung dieser neuen Reinigungstechnologie in den Herstellungsprozess und die Einführung kontaktloser Staubschutzkappen verkürzt CleanAdvantage™ die Installationszeit um bis zu 17 % und reduziert die Kosten für Reinigungszubehör um bis zu 95 %. Angesichts der ständig steigenden Nachfrage nach Bandbreite in Rechenzentren liefert Corning damit Produkte, die die Installation merklich beschleunigen.
