2. What is the intern's job?
As an intern you will work on real projects and responsible tasks, learning from experienced specialists. You will learn the rules of functioning of a large production company and various management styles while implementing their development plans.

The first diploma defense outside the walls of the Łódź University of Technology
On 24 April 2015, the first defense of the diploma thesis outside the university walls was held at the headquarters of Corning Optical Communications in Stryków. This is another great success and a step towards further development of the cooperation of the Lodz University of Technology, one of the best technical universities in Poland, with Corning. The diploma defense Ing. Lidia Górczyńska was preceded by a visit of the university authorities and the examination board in both the company's production plants and in the warehouse, which served as the basis for the analysis carried out in the thesis on the use of the Lean Management concept. We are proud to work out such a non-standard and innovative form of cooperation that allows us to draw inspiration and exchange ideas.

For many years, Corning has been cooperating with the Technical University in Lodz and other organizations that allow closer contact with the candidates. We want to be an employer of choice, which is recognizable on the labor market. Therefore, in order to establish relations with potential candidates, in the spring of 2018 we spent over 100 hours not only at the largest Academic Job Fair and Absolvent Talent Days in our province, but also at other events such as Engineering (Mechanical) Job Fair, EEiA Department Day , Girls at Technical University and Diamond Practices.

In addition, we closely cooperate with the Ambassadors of the Technical University of Lodz and we participate in meetings of the Faculty Council. In 2018 we organized the The Corning Days campaign at five faculties of Technical University of Lodz (Mechanical, Chemical, ZiIP, FTIMS, EEiA) (stands where students can get to know our company better and cooperation opportunities) and 7 workshops of the Corning Academy conducted by our engineers, specialists and managers at every faculty of Technical University of Lodz, in which nearly 140 students participated!
