Corning Advanced Technical Glass

More than a View

More than a View

The architectural windows of the future will provide so much more than a view. They will better maintain internal temperatures, minimize noise from outside, and provide safety and security from storms and home invasion. They will even be enhanced with connected technology that enables you to dim the window through voice command or an app on your phone, controlling glare, privacy, and incoming light.

One thing this new generation of windows will have in common: they’ll all need more glass to achieve these impressive capabilities.

Where traditional window glass would add more weight and bulk to a window unit, Corning’s thin, lightweight glass enables the same high-performance windows in a lighter, slimmer footprint.

Introducing Corning Advanced Glazing, a family of thin, lightweight glass technologies for windows made possible by Corning’s proprietary fusion process.

Corning® Architectural Technical Glazing (ATG)

This exceptionally thin, lightweight, and optically clear glass is ideal for window designs that require more panes of glass to achieve greater functionality. Corning® Architectural Technical Glazing can be integrated into window designs in place of a standard pane of soda lime glass to provide the same advanced performance at a lower weight and a smaller footprint.

Thin Triples

Triple-pane insulated glazing units are a standard window design used to increase thermal performance by adding a gas cavity between glass layers. Corning’s triple-pane solutions enables the same high-performance design in a lighter, slimmer, drop-in format compared to triple-pane designs using standard soda lime glass.
