As a professional, there are skills and experiences required to accumulate to take a particular job. But there are no limits to what you want to do in the future. My supervisors respect what I am interested in and support me in growing myself in the direction that I have planned. Development comes in different forms. I had the opportunities to attend many leadership and other business skill training sessions. And I was assigned to different roles. I continue to update my career plan but Corning has always been supportive.
Corning builds globally diverse teams to leverage its talents from all over the world. I had the opportunity to take a global supply chain role while continuing to work in the plant near my home. Members working in each plants work together as one team focusing on global optimization. This experience gave me the opportunity to develop global perspective and to work with talented people in different countries. I keep that global mindset and value the people network even today for my work and career.
