'Realizing the Vision' of a World Inspired by Glass

A World Inspired by Glass

Glass is at the heart of some of the most spectacular innovations shaping the modern world — and Corning continues to lead the conversation among top companies bringing those inventions to life. Those collaborations were in full swing last month at the Corning-sponsored “Realizing the Vision” symposium at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

“We’re forming a community of companies who share Corning’s vision of a connected world,” said Dr. Waguih Ishak, division vice president and director of the Corning West Technology Center in nearby Palo Alto. “It’s a future where we address many things that matter to people — good health, good communication, good entertainment, and so much more.”

The symposium — the third based on ideas Corning introduced in its futuristic “A Day Made of Glass” videos — drew more than 200 change-minded leaders to explore new possibilities that breakthroughs in technology and materials science are now making possible.
