TAIPEI, TAIWAN | Corning Incorporated | June 05, 2013

Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) will showcase Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance™ (NDR) as part of its Computex Taipei exhibition this week. The Corning booth will also highlight other specialty glass solutions and their benefits for today’s consumer electronics device trends.

Since its launch at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, Gorilla Glass 3 with NDR is continuing to gain momentum with Corning’s global customers. This latest version of the most widely deployed damage-resistant cover glass for consumer electronic devices is based on a completely new glass composition, with durability enhancements developed at the atomic structural level of the glass.

“Scratch resistance and durability continue to be features that today’s high-end consumer electronics require. Our customers have been pleased that we’re able to provide them with a product that delivers the toughness consumers require for daily use,” said James R. Steiner, senior vice president and general manager, Corning Specialty Materials. “Along with other industry leaders, Corning is proud to showcase its glass innovations at the largest computer exhibition in Asia.”

Corning will also showcase the newly announced ASUS Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook™ featuring Gorilla Glass 3 with NDR on its lid and keyboard. The attributes of Gorilla Glass 3 with NDR will be featured in live demonstrations in the Corning booth #L0703, during show hours from June 4-8.

Formed through Corning’s proprietary fusion draw process, Gorilla Glass’s smooth and sleek surface offers the perfect solution for touch devices. Gorilla Glass is the cover glass of choice for device manufacturers around the globe. Over the last six years, it has been featured in more than 30 major brands and 1,000 product models spanning more than 1.5 billion devices worldwide.
