Demonstration site in Jakarta residential community will show how Corning solutions help MyRepublic accelerate and simplify underground deployments
CORNING, N.Y. — Corning Optical Communications LLC, a division of Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW), and MyRepublic Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s largest fiber internet service providers, announced today they have signed a formal agreement to create a demonstration site in a high-end residential community in Jakarta, Indonesia; showcasing Corning’s Evolv® optical connectivity solutions designed for use in Fiber to the Home (FTTH) applications.
MyRepublic Indonesia will work with Corning, one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science and a pioneer in passive optical communications, to deploy Corning’s Evolv solutions with Pushlok® technology in Jakarta. The demonstration site will showcase how Corning’s solutions can accelerate and simplify underground deployments in a residential environment. Evolv Pushlok hardened connectors are half the size of the legacy offerings, connecting to terminals that are four times smaller. “The smaller size allows operators to speed up deployment,” said Timotius Max Sulaiman, CEO, MyRepublic Indonesia. “This helps optimize our cost of installation for the fiber network rollout, and stay ahead of demands for high-speed connectivity.”
