TAIPEI, TAIWAN | Corning Incorporated | August 26, 2015

Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) announced its plans to attend Touch Taiwan, Aug. 26-28 at the Nangang Exhibition Hall.

The Corning booth, #J1217, will showcase products from its Corning Glass Technologies portfolio including recently launched Corning Lotus™ NXT Glass. Specially formatted for high-performance displays, Lotus NXT Glass enables the highest resolutions and supports energy-efficient devices with rich resolutions and bright displays.

Corning will also feature Corning Iris™ Glass, a high-transmission, light-guide plate enabling thinner edge-lit LCD TVs. The exhibit will highlight new customer innovations featuring Iris Glass from AUO, Coretronics, and Chilin Solutions.  

Other Corning technologies in the booth include:

  • Corning® Willow® Glass on Carrier - Enables manufacturing of ultra-slim displays on existing fabrication lines without using hazardous chemicals commonly used in acid thinning.
  • Corning® EAGLE XG® Slim – Allows display manufacturers to produce a broader range of applications in their large-gen panel manufacturing facilities and is available in 0.4mm thickness up to Gen 8.5.
  • Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 – Offers improved performance in resisting breakage from drops on rough surfaces, making it ideal for consumer electronic devices.
  • Corning® Gorilla® Glass for Automotive – Enables new OEM design concepts featuring shaped, anti-glare, and anti-reflective surfaces for auto interior consoles.
  • Corning® Fibrance™ Light-Diffusing Fiber – Provides colorful, decorative lighting design choices with maximum flexibility for tight or narrow spaces.


Corning will also participate at the International Display Manufacturing Conference taking place in parallel with Touch Taiwan. Dr. Millicent Ruffin, director, Corning Advanced Technology Center, will discuss the versatility of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that provide an array of lighting and display applications. Dr. Ruffin will speak from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 in 504bc in the Nangang Exhibition Hall.
