Product Features

Safely Fill, Sample, and Empty with Aseptic Transfer Caps

To protect precious cultures against adventitious contamination during liquid transfer, Corning offers aseptic transfer caps (ATCs) that fit all sizes of its disposable Erlenmeyer flasks. All ATCs have two ports with chemically resistant, heat sealable flexible tubing. The dip tube reaches to the bottom of the flask for complete transfer of liquids during manipulations. The transfer caps are available separately or pre-assembled on plain- or baffled-bottom flasks. All units arrive sterile, individually doubled-bagged, assembled, and ready-to-use. Customization is available.

Cost Efficient R&D Scale Up for Insect Cell Recombinant Protein Production

Recently, Dr. Ciaran Cronin and his team at Pfizer La Jolla demonstrated a more cost-efficient method for scaling up recombinant protein production in the baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) using large Erlenmeyer flasks and standard laboratory equipment.

Efficient Expansion of Suspension CHO Cells in Corning PETG Erlenmeyer Flasks

The adoption of single-use technologies for biopharmaceutical manufacturing is a rapidly growing trend due to a number of advantages including the reduced risk of contamination, reduced capital costs, and faster time to market.

The Corning 5L Erlenmeyer Flask Provides an Ideal Choice for Efficient Scale-up of Suspension Cells

As the bioprocess industry grows, so grows the demand for single-use containers that can efficiently culture large quantities of cells. To support accelerating requirements, Corning has developed a 5L Erlenmeyer flask with the same footprint as a traditional 3L Erlenmeyer flask.

Scaling up with Erlenmeyer Shake Flasks

Because scaling from one vessel to the next can sometimes be complicated, we’ve shared one of the workflows successfully used by Corning scientists. With this as a starting point, you can grow more cells, from process development through manufacturing scale, doubting less along the way.
