“WLIF program helped me strengthen my networks and encouraged myself to be brave and bold throughout my career progression”

The thing that attracts me the most working at Corning is its excellent company culture and values. As we all know, Corning has seven values and the foundation of each value is “individual”. Corning respect every individual, and I’m so proud to be a member of Corning. Specifically, a female member of Corning. Because how Corning invest significantly on Women leadership development.

Corning’s Corporate Finance led a program called “Women Leaders in Finance (WLIF)”, and I’m proud to join this program. Back in 2017, I joined WLIF as a trainee. Our leaders frequently invited successful female leaders not only inside but also outside of the company to share their remarkable stories that can inspired Corning females in planning their own career.

After two years of participating in WLIF, with leadership’s support, I was assigned as one of the coaches on WLIF. This speaks volume to leadership’s recognition of my leadership skill set and their willingness to continue investing in my growth as a leader.

Throughout the WLIF program, I have learned both technical (e.g. finance analysis, ERP knowledge, etc.) and soft skills (e.g. influence skills, leadership skills, people management skills, etc.) Theses skills were so important that they helped me strengthen my networks and encouraged myself to be brave and bold throughout my career progression.

At Corning, I feel that I am always able to receive all the supports I need. Corning is always there to support you achieve your goal and career endeavor.

“Corning respect every individual, and I’m so proud to be a member of Corning. Specifically, a female member of Corning."
