Corning Awarded by AT&T for Supplier Diversity

AT&T has awarded Corning Optical Communications the 2016 AT&T Global Supplier Diversity Crystal Award for its continued commitment to global diversity both internally and through its supply chain.

AT&T states that winners of this award utilized 21 percent or more diverse companies in the products and services provided throughout 2016.

"Supplier diversity is a top priority at AT&T. We're proud to work with companies that take diversity as seriously as we do," said Susan A. Johnson, senior vice president, Global Supply Chain, AT&T. "At AT&T, we know inclusion drives innovation – and that a truly inclusive culture is defined by action, policies, and accountability."

Inclusion and diversity also play a key role in Corning's Values. Corning continually strives to celebrate and recognize the Individual through various programs and initiatives both internally and externally.

AT&T also stated that of their numerous vendors and suppliers, Corning was one of only 39 suppliers to receive this award.

"As a company that seeks diversity in everything we do, we are exceptionally proud of this award. And to be recognized by AT&T, one of our most valued customers, makes it even more impactful. We celebrate the Individual and strive to create supplier networks that are strengthened by, and thrive on, diversity."
