His project with Corning involved developing software to allow employees to remotely control a thermal camera

Jonathan has the expertise and thirst for knowledge to someday become a complete technology wizard. Corning Incorporated intrigued him when the company gave a presentation at Georgia Institute of Technology, where Jonathan is now a sophomore.

“They had opportunities for me to gain the experience I need to become a fantastic computer engineer,” he said.

His project with Corning this past summer involved developing software to allow employees to remotely control a thermal camera.

“It’s cool because it will allow people record extremely high temperatures without the risk of getting seriously burned,” he said.

Jonathan plans to get more experiences at internships before graduating and getting his master’s degree in computer engineering. He eventually wants to begin his own advanced technology company.

Until then, Jonathan will continue playing badminton and watching his favorite TV program: Spanish novelas.
