ORESU, Office of Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion reaffirm commitment to unity, stand with global Asian and Pacific Islander communities

A message from Dana Moss, division vice president and chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer, on behalf of Corning’s Office of Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Office of Racial Equality and Social Unity (ORESU):

Today, on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team and ORESU, we reaffirm our commitment to the global Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

We are alarmed by the rise in unacceptable behaviors, discriminatory rhetoric, and acts of violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, especially since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our facilities, offices, and communities must be safe and respectful places for all.  We will not tolerate any acts of discrimination or hate.

We all have a role in helping our colleagues through this time. Listen to concerns, speak up when you see discrimination, and support your fellow employees in stamping out these targeted attacks. Unity means nothing if it’s not inclusive.

We are one Corning fabric, woven together from many backgrounds, communities, and experiences.

Our diversity makes us strong. We stand united.
