IDM Facility Earns Safety Recognition

Employees at the Integrated Die Manufacturing facility accept the Star Worksite flag from Jeff Prebish, acting area director for OSHA

The Integrated Die Manufacturing (IDM) facility in Painted Post, N.Y., was recently recognized for its safety record by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) following a rigorous review process.

The IDM plant was accepted into OSHA’s top-ranked Voluntary Protection Program – the Star Program – which recognizes “exemplary worksites with comprehensive, successful safety and health management systems.” Star Program sites like IDM have injury or illness rates at or below the national average in their industries.

“We are now world class. We are as good as anyone in the country and better than most, and that’s impressive,” said David Morse, chief technology officer and executive vice president. “Employees know if they see something, they should say something.”
