The PureCoat rLaminin-521 cultureware line ensures predictable stem cell culture scale up from T-flasks, to multi-layered flasks, to large-scale production using Corning CellSTACK® vessels* with closed system options. 

In addition to the handling benefits, PureCoat rLaminin-521 enables ROCK-inhibitor independent single cell passaging. Single cell passaging improves culture consistency and lowers contamination risk compared to labor intensive clump/ colony passaging methods.

*Corning® PureCoat rLaminin-521 cultureware is available in 6-well plates, T-75, T-175, and multi-layered flasks. Corning CellSTACK* formats will be available at a future date (TBD).

PureCoat rLaminin-521 provides a 39% cost saving vs. self-coating protocols through the reduction of raw material qualification and protocol validation costs, scrap from incorrect coating, and clean room usage for intermediate coating steps. In addition to these cost savings, PureCoat rLaminin-521 cultureware reduces sterility and variability risk, resulting in a much more efficient and robust cell expansion process.   

Exceptional Quality and Traceability

Corning PureCoat rLaminin-521 cultureware are animal-free, US Class I medical devices that are manufactured under cGMP in an ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered facility. The animal-free nature of the cultureware mitigates variability and risk of contamination from adventitious organisms common to animal-sourced material.

The surface has long term stability at 2°C to 8°C storage conditions, a 20 month shelf life and can be shipped at ambient temperatures to ease supply chain requirements. PureCoat rLaminin-521 cultureware carries a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-3.
