Corning expert will discuss enterprise market growth at Tower & Small Cell Summit

Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) today announced it will display two new products – an integrated headend unit (IHU) for the Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform, and a neutral host solution for the MobileAccess2000 distributed antenna systems (DAS) – at CTIA in the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

The new IHU is designed for small- and medium-sized deployments of the Corning ONE Wireless Platform that require a compact headend unit. ONE is the first all-optical converged solution to deliver cellular, Wi-Fi and passive optical LAN on a single, all-fiber infrastructure. The IHU will be on display in Corning’s booth #2261.

The new HX neutral host solution is a two-watt remote that can accommodate all bands for U.S. carriers within a single chassis. It was designed for Corning’s MobileAccess2000 distributed antenna system (DAS) platform for large-scale public venues like campuses, stadiums and convention centers.

“Greater convergence and cost efficiencies have made advanced wireless infrastructure solutions more affordable and attractive to IT professionals,” said Mike O’Day, vice president, Wireless Networks, Corning. “With enhancements to the ONE Wireless Platform, Corning offers enterprise customers something beyond a traditional cellular solution. And our continued investment in DAS solutions like the HX neutral host helps support our growing list of carrier-driven stadium and arena projects.”

In addition to the new product announcements, Corning’s Neil Manning, vice president of Wireless Sales & Development, will present at CTIA’s Tower & Small Cell Summit at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10. Part of the “Charting Future In-Building Growth in Venues and the Enterprise” panel discussion, Manning will focus on the anticipated growth in the enterprise sector, including healthcare, higher education and hospitality verticals.
