HICKORY, N.C. | Corning Incorporated | сентября 13, 2012

Corning Optical Communications LLC, part of Corning Incorporated’s (NYSE:GLW) Telecommunications segment, will highlight innovation in enterprise and wireless solutions at the 2012 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition in Anaheim, Calif., Sept. 16-20.

In its interactive exhibit (booth# 1911), Corning will introduce and provide hands-on demonstrations of its ALTOS® Cable with FastAccess™ Technology. Ideal for outdoor and limited indoor use for campus backbones in lashed aerial and duct installations, the innovative FastAccess Technology design allows the cable jacket to be “peeled” for faster and easier removal.

Introduced earlier this year, the new LANscape® Closet Connector Housings (CCHs) will also be on display. The CCHs have more than two dozen features – including fiber and cable routing, strain relief, port labeling and termination - built into the new design to help users work more quickly, while reducing the risk of error that can disrupt networks. The housings are available in sizes ranging from 1 rack unit (1U) to 4 rack units (4U).

Corning will provide hands-on demonstrations of a variety of optical fiber cabling solutions for enterprise applications, particularly Pretium EDGE® SE Solutions for data center applications that provide greater design flexibility, easier installation, and a smaller cable footprint. The new Pretium EDGE family creates new opportunities for customers who value the cable management and density of Pretium EDGE Solutions but require field termination in the data center.

Corning will also feature its Pretium EDGE optical cabling and connectivity solutions needed to support Top of Rack designs that utilize 40G electronics. Pretium EDGE Solutions allow for up to 35 percent faster deployment; up to 25 percent faster moves, adds and changes (MACs); and up to 100 percent more density than traditional preterminated solutions.

Finally, the exhibit will include the latest innovation from Corning MobileAccess’ Total DAS (distributed antenna systems) portfolio of advanced indoor RF distribution solutions. Total DAS  includes a common equipment headend that minimizes the DAS footprint and costs, a variety of remote power options that optimize designs for any venue’s topology, and advanced cabling solutions that lower costs. Specifically showcased at the show will be MobileAccessVE, the IT-friendly DAS Solution that delivers cellular signals over existing LAN infrastructure. This innovative distributed antenna system enables a wide variety of technologies, including indoor 4G LTE, providing the enterprise customer with mobility solutions to drive their businesses.
