Corning Optical Communications LLC, part of Corning Incorporated’s (NYSE:GLW) Telecommunications segment, will feature its innovative Evolant® Solutions for Wireless Networks, including fiber to the antenna (FTTA) and Fiber to the Cell Site (FTTCS) at CTIA Wireless 2011®, Mar. 22-24, in Orlando.

In its environmental exhibit (booth #446), customers will be able to see exactly where Evolant Solutions for Wireless Networks fit into their network deployment and enable service providers to easily install and upgrade wireless networks. Today’s wireless operators face on-going challenges to supply the coverage and capacity that their customers want, especially for data. This means deployment of 3G and 4G solutions, often in crowded tower and rooftop environments. Corning’s Evolant Solutions for Wireless Networks leverage field-proven, standards-based solutions to make FTTA deployment a fast plug-and-play operation that can save time and money.

Three wireless solution sets will be on display in the exhibit:  Tower Top to the Cabinet, Rooftop to the Cabinet and Fiber to the Cell Site. These three deployment options provide the flexibility to support a variety of wireless architectures. Each solution set offers unique products to support its technology, such as the OptiSheath® MF2 MultiPort Terminal, Remote Radio Fiber Optic Cable Assembly, Remote Radio Distribution Terminal, Cell Site Drop Assembly and the Wireless Consolidation Terminal.
