Industry leaders to co-develop and co-market new applications for existing ATCC cell types and Corning products 

Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) and ATCC today extended an existing collaboration that will benefit cell culture researchers worldwide. Under terms of the agreement, Corning Life Sciences and ATCC will co-develop new applications for existing ATCC and Corning cell biology products; provide researchers with increased access to knowledgeable field scientists and information; and participate in joint marketing initiatives.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with ATCC,” said Brian Douglass, business director, Cell Culture, Corning Life Sciences. “Through our continued work, customers will have quicker access to more resources, information, and technical approaches to accelerate their research.”

Together, ATCC and Corning both offer a wealth of cell culture knowledge and information that researchers can access to improve productivity. Additionally,  new application development for existing ATCC cells — primary, iPSCs, and hTERT immortalized cell lines—will provide improved workflow and new insights into ways Corning’s differentiated products, such as  Corning® BioCoat™, can improve performance.
