For the second consecutive year, Pretium EDGE® Solution collects a DCS Award

Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) today announced announces that its Pretium EDGE® Advanced Optics (AO) structured optical cabling solution recently received the Datacentre Cabling Product of the Year at the Datacentre Solutions Awards 2014 in London.

Pretium EDGE® AO Solutions is a comprehensive suite of advanced optical components that enable the next level of performance in data centers or storage area networks. From network monitoring to migration to parallel optics, this advanced optical technology integrates directly into the Pretium EDGE Solutions cabling system for maximum efficiency and return on investment.

The award category included a range of leading data center cabling technologies. Products were evaluated on their ability to demonstrate competitive advantage and a clear return on investment for users. The awards were announced on May 15.

“The Datacentre Solutions Awards recognize the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data center field and are voted for by the readers of our wide range of print and online publications,” said Jason Holloway, Director of IT Publishing, Angel Business Communications, organizers of the DCS Awards. “All finalists did well in making the shortlist, but Corning Optical Communications was the clear winner in its category, Datacentre Cabling Product of the Year.”
