Customer Statement – COVID-19

Corning Life Sciences (CLS) is fully committed to serving our customers across the life sciences industry, particularly at a time when the work being done by many researchers is critical to the management the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are fortunate to be part of a global corporation, Corning Incorporated, which has implemented medical, security and business teams to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis. CLS is an active participant in this process and is committed to helping protect our employees and ensuring the reliability of our customer supply chain.

At this time, all CLS manufacturing and distribution operations remain open and fully operational. We are staying close to local government authorities to ensure that we comply with all current public health directives, including shelter in place and similar orders, and that we meet specific health and safety requirements. This will help to ensure that we are able to continue our operations and to supply our customers who are doing critical work.

CLS has established preparedness plans, including detailed business continuity plans, at all our locations. All facilities are taking preventative actions to minimize exposure to any type of viral infection and ensure we are well-equipped with everything needed to safely maintain operations.

While supply of most products is not being impacted by the COVID-19 situation, we have seen a surge in demand for some products used in related testing and research. As a result, we are experiencing longer than usual lead times for fulfillment of those items. Actions are underway to manage shipments and to ensure that we deliver all orders as soon as possible. We will be closely monitoring all orders versus historical demand patterns to avoid any “stockpiling” and ensure supply for all customers.

The COVID-19 situation continues to be very fluid. Employee safety and well-being is our first priority, as we effectively maintain our operations to support our customers. We are communicating regularly with our employees and providing them with advice and support on health and safety precautions, information and guidelines on travel and travel bans within affected areas, and resulting return-to-work guidelines.
