Engage with a diverse panel of industry experts as they explore how technological advancements can drive Malaysia's economic growth. The session will delve into strategic initiatives such as the expansion of AI-powered data centers, advancements in high-tech manufacturing, and innovative research, highlighting their potential to shape a brighter future for the nation.

Andrew Chan Yik Hong

Andrew Chan Yik Hong is the Executive Director of the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA). MSIA is the voice of the Malaysia semiconductor and electronics industry. Andrew leads MSIA’s strategic direction, policy advocacy, industry development, and international engagement. MSIA currently represents over 300 member companies from 20 countries, spanning the full semiconductor value chain.

Andrew plays a pivotal role in shaping national semiconductor strategy and positioning Malaysia within the global chip supply chain. He chairs the National Standards Committee Working Group on Semiconductors and serves on several high-level national platforms.

Andrew brings a multidisciplinary lens to technology leadership, having previously held roles at PwC Consulting, IBM, and Gamuda. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and a strong advocate for Malaysia’s strategic role in global semiconductor value chains — leveraging its robust manufacturing base, skilled talent, and rising investments to drive innovation, resilience, and long-term competitiveness.

Vidhya Ganesan

Vidhya is the managing partner of McKinsey’s Malaysia office, specializing in supporting regional clients across sectors such as the public sector, telecommunications, and manufacturing with large-scale digital, analytics, and technology-driven transformations.

For many years, Vidhya led McKinsey’s work on digital government and the digital economy in Asia. In this capacity, she helped government agencies employ digital technology to deliver new services and improve existing ones, while operating more efficiently and with greater transparency. She has guided large-scale transformation programs spanning the social, economic, and financial sectors. In low-and-middle-income nations, these transformations include leveraging technology for the improvement of education and healthcare.

Beyond the public sector, Vidhya advises organizations in high-tech, telecommunications, and manufacturing on tech-enabled transformations and operational improvements. She has led masterclasses on the future of digital government at the Global Government Summit, served as a fellow with the McKinsey Center for Government, and frequently publishes on digital innovation in governance and gender diversity. A champion for inclusion, she led McKinsey’s partnership with the World Economic Forum on gender parity initiatives and drives diversity programs across Asia.

Tan Tze Meng

Tze Meng earned a BSc(Eng) in Computer Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London, in 1986 and has over 38 years of experience in the ICT industry. He began his career in Telekom Malaysia's IT Division in 1988, playing a pivotal role in the launch of TMnet in 1996. After managing TMnet's international networks, he left in 2000 to work with two startups specializing in data center design, cybersecurity, and Apple enterprise support.

In 2007, he joined MDEC, where he led the Digital Infrastructure Department until October 2024, focusing on the development of the digital infrastructure ecosystem, including data centers, connectivity, and submarine cables. He currently serves as a subject matter expert on digital infrastructure with MDEC on a contract basis.

Ameya Bhangle

Ameya Bhangle is the Director of Strategy for Corning International, leading strategic planning to drive growth in global markets across EMEA, India, Japan, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Since joining Corning in 2017, he has held roles of increasing responsibility in the company’s Optical Communications business, including managing a pivotal Program Management Office initiative, developing global strategies for the optical fiber and cable business, and overseeing operations for the indoor optical cabling portfolio in EMEA.

Previously, Ameya worked as a strategy consultant, managing international projects across the USA, Europe, and India. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a LeBaron-McArthur-Ellis Fellow, and a Bachelor's in Information Technology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Ameya, based in Berlin, Germany, is also a member of The Conference Board’s Strategy & Transformation Council in EMEA.

Khang Luu, Ph.D

Graduating with an Honour, Highest Distinction in Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy), Khang started as a pharmacist at the National Cancer Centre of Singapore. Fascinated by the advancement of medicine as well as the limitation of current cancer therapy, he pursued his Joint Ph.D. in Biomedical Science co-administered by Karolinska Institute and National University of Singapore, with a focus on oncology and immunology: how one’s immune function combats cancer. Upon graduation, he worked as a Research Scientist at a drug-discovery biotech startup in Singapore, preparing the pre-clinical dossier and identifying patients who best respond to the company’s flagship antibody.  The therapy is currently in clinical trial. Joining Corning Life Sciences, Khang managed the company’s scientific presence in the Southeast Asia market, positioning Corning’s products and providing solutions to scientists from all backgrounds, academia to industry.
