Corning International
In 1973 the Pacific International Cooperation Co., Ltd began selling Corning products to the Taiwan market. In 2001, Corning International Taiwan Co., Ltd established it's offices in Taipei. Corning International is a Corning Incorporated business unit, focused on emerging global opportunities. Corning International has three specific roles:
- New product business development in emerging markets
- Maximizing of local sales and marketing resources to exceed division growth objectives
- Developing strong corporate operating platforms in selected strategic markets
In Taiwan, Corning International manages business development and sales of the Optical Fiber, Photonics, Specialty Materials, Ophthalmic, Environmental Technologies, and Life Sciences businesses of Corning Incorporated. Corning International also oversees the customer service, engineering support, and technical support for these businesses to their key customers.
