The performance of our liquid crystal display (LCD) glass substrates can be attributed to Corning’s proprietary fusion process, which we invented and have continued to refine. This highly scalable process creates glass of exceptional quality, ideal for today’s higher-resolution displays. Corning uses the fusion process to produce our award-winning products: EAGLE XG® glass substrates, the world’s first environmentally friendly glass for high-performance displays, and Jade® glass for advanced display, a polysilicon substrate that provides an ideal platform for today’s emerging display technologies, from low-temperature polysilicon thin-film transistor (LTPS-TFT) to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and beyond.
