Corning and Tokuyama to Collaborate to Develop State of the Art Photochromic Technology

CORNING, N.Y., March 31, 2006 – Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) and Tokuyama Corporation today announced a collaboration agreement to develop state of the art photochromic technology that will enable the future growth of the plastic photochromic market, one of the fastest growing segments in the ophthalmic industry.
