At Corning, we believe that the substantial bandwidth necessary to power the instant data exchanges of the near future is possible. Corning’s Telecommunications business is preparing glass optical fiber to help carry the massive surge in bandwidth required for the instant capture and sharing of information demonstrated in the videos.

Corning is researching ways to help protect electronic devices and other touch applications from the negative aesthetics of smudges and fingertips. Currently, customers can request Corning® Gorilla® Glass with a special coating, making it easier to clean than other cover glasses.

Many of the glass materials Corning is developing are environmentally friendly and even recyclable. Corning continues to research different environmental solutions for cleaner air and greater pollution control, while our advancements in high efficiency photovoltaic cells will help harness solar energy sources.
