LANscape Solutions is designed for building-to-building, floor-to-floor, single floor or fiber-to-the-desk cable applications in business, manufacturing, hospital, university, financial, security, industrial and federal environments.
1977 – Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) and Siemens AG establish equity venture Siecor Corporation
1978 – Develops loose tube fiber optic cable design; manufactures and installs the first optical fiber cable
1983 – Installs the first single-mode cable for commercial telephone traffic in the U.S; Develops and manufactures the first network interface devices (NIDs) for commercial use in U.S.
1986 – Pioneers the development of prestubbed optical hardware; Becomes the first non-Japanese fiber optic cable manufacturer to sell commercially in Japan
1989 – Develops the first true field-installable connectors with innovative UniCam® Connector technology
