Grow More Cells with Corning!
Corning® RoboFlask™ Cell Culture Vessels
Corning RoboFlasks are robotics compatible cell culture flasks offering 92.6 cm2
cell growth surface area. The flasks are designed for use in automated cell
culture systems utilizing a microplate-size format and are compatible with the
Tecan Cellerity™ Cell Maintenance and Assay System. (Click
here to learn more about the Tecan Cellerity System.) RoboFlask vessels
may also be utilized manually in stacks of up to 8 units to maximize the use of
incubator space.
Benefits:
-
Smaller footprint and less than half as thick as a T-75 flask but has 23% more
growth area
-
Removable septum cap for both automated systems and manual applications
-
Septum cap ensures sterility through multiple entries
-
Microplate-size footprint for automation
-
Bar coded for traceability
-
Built-in hydrophobic vent membrane for efficient gas and liquid exchange
-
Available with choice of standard tissue culture treatment or with
Corning® CellBIND® Surface treatment for improved cell attachment
The robot friendly flasks are compatible with many Tecan
automation options including the RoMa arm on the Freedom EVO® and the
AutoLoader™.
The pierceable cap of the Corning RoboFlask vessel helps
maintain a sealed environment on the Tecan Cellerity System during media exchange. It can be removed for
manual access.
Gas Exchange Port: A
2.2cm2 hydrophobic venting membrane provides a sterile barrier and
ensures proper gas exchange. This membrane will not wet out unless submerged
under pressure or comes in contact with organic solvents such as ethanol.
Septum
Cap: The septum cap allows for adding or removing cells and solutions
with a blunt tip cannula while reducing the opportunity for contamination. The
septum is pre-split to prevent coring of the septum by the cannula. The cap
allows pipette access (up to 5mL) to assist in harvesting of cells.
Media Recovery Slope:
Molded into every RoboFlask vessel is a 2° slope for easier media and cell
recovery.
Space
Saving Design: RoboFlask is only 18mm thick! Eight RoboFlasks occupy
less incubator space than four T-75 flasks but offers 440 cm2 more
growth surface.
