Corning has now added innovative microprocessor technology with digital displays for optimally controlling heating and stirring to the 5" x 7" (12.7 x 17.8cm) and 10" x 10" (25.4 x 25.4cm) Pyroceram glass-ceramic hot plates, stirrers and stirring hot plates.

Corning's new digital hot plates and stirrers still offer the unique Pyroceram tops that have set the standard for quality for over 40 years.

The optional external temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR used with PC-420D above) monitors and controls solution temperatures in vessels. Bright LED displays indicate temperature and stirring speed.

There are three digital display product families:

Digital LED temperature display is adjustable in 5°C increments and blinks until set temperature is reached
Digital LED stir speed display indicates when set speed has been reached
Microprocessor maintains consistent and repeatable temperature and stir speed settings.
Optional external temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR) truly controls solution temperature inside the vessel.

Safety Features

Bright LED HOT TOP icon lights up when top plate temperature is over 60°C, even when heat control is turned off.
Separate temperature sensor provides power cutoff if unit overheats.
Optional temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR) will shut off unit when controller is not in liquid.
Meets UL, CE and cUL standards

Conserves Lab Space

All units have small footprint and a low profile - tallest unit is only 4-7/8" (12.2cm) high to fit comfortably inside hoods or storage cabinets.
Support rod mount at rear of housing allows an optional 9" to 18" (22.9 to 45.7cm) support rod (Cat. No. 440129) to be directly attached to all digital models for holding standard ring, thermometer, electrode, or buret clamps as well as the Corning external temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR) .

No interference with magnetic coupling

Corning® PC-400D hot plates have 5" x 7" Pyroceram tops and can regulate temperatures up to 550°C.

Corning Digital Hot Plates with Pyroceram Tops

Corning Digital Hot Plates have bright LED panels that display temperature. They also feature a closed-loop heating control that monitors and regulates temperature. With the optional external temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR) , they can also monitor and control solution temperatures in vessels.

Heat settings from 5° to 550°C (200°C with optional external temperature controller)
Choose from two top sizes: 5" x 7" with 35 square inches (226cm²) or 10" x 10" with 100 square inches (645cm²).

Corning stirring hot plates (PC-420D shown) can regulate temperatures up to 550°C while stirring at speeds up to 1150RPM.

Corning Digital Stirring Hot Plates feature closed-loop heating and stirring controls that monitor and regulate both temperature and stirring speed. With the optional external temperature controller (Cat. No. 6795PR) , they can also monitor and control solution temperatures in vessels.

Microprocessor automatically adjusts motor strength to accommodate aqueous, viscous, or semisolid solutions.
Heat settings from 5° to 550°C (200°C with optional external temperature controller)
60-1150 RPM stirring range
Stronger, larger magnet improves stir bar coupling and stirring speed capability.
Automatic ramp up speed adjustment minimizes decoupling.
Choose from two Pyroceram top sizes: 5" x 7" with 35 square inches (226cm²) or 10" x 10" with 100 square inches (645cm²).
