Save on reagents and antibody costs with half the well volume
Acton, Massachusetts, March 2004 - As a leading manufacturer of high quality, high performance Stripwell microplates for in vitro diagnostic assays, Corning Life Sciences introduces the first low volume Stripwell microplate with twelve 1x8 strips in the standard 96 well format.
The new Stripwell microplates are designed with approximately one-half the area of the standard 8-well strip, providing a greater surface to volume ratio. With the reduced well size, less antibody is needed to coat the well and half the reagent volume is required to perform the reaction. End users can realize a savings of 70% or more on antibody costs and 50% or more on reagent costs.
The low volume Stripwell microplate has the same height and path length as a standard strip with standard 96 well center to center spacing. It is fully compatible with 96 well plate readers, dispensers and washers, requiring no changes to existing production equipment.
Stripwell Low Volume Microplates are available in clear, white or black polystyrene with either high binding or medium binding surfaces. The total well volume is 190 µL with a recommended working volume of 50 µL to 125 µL. Stripwell plates can also be customized to meet test kit requirements.
